Blog 4- Analysing a television advertisement in detail.
This advert is about a little boy, that has a penguin as a friend and that decided to make his friend dream come true, to which is to find love.
The form that is being used in this advert is stand alone, this is because there will not be another advert that will continue this one. The Style of advert is Humor, this is because it was showed in a very funny way that the store being advertised has everything you need to make someones dreams come true, but the things being advertised weren't really possible to be bought or even real. This is the penguin, he wasn't real, therefore didn't have real feelings.
I believe that the target audience for this film was Families, because the advert was suitable for all ages, but what was being advert was mostly for kids, (the penguin) but only adults can actually buy it from that store.
This advert provokes an emotional response because, it makes people think about friends, love and making people happy. The music used in the advert also helped by adding a little touch of love and Christmas happiness.
This advert used the brand name at the end of the advert so it would be the last thing people see an remember.
The light used in the advert made it very nice and calm to watch, it wasn't to bright or to dark, it was smooth and made everything visible, and soft.
Wide Shot is the most used type of shot in this advert, you can see it thought the whole advert in multiple scenes like for example 0:09, the other type of shot used was Mid shot, this is at 0:24 when they zoomed into the boy but not completely.
Zoom was one of the camera movement used this can be seen at 1:05, when the camera zoomed into the penguin. The pace of editing used was a very calm and slow so people could pay close attention to the details and to emphasize the emotion through the video.

You must include more analysis of the technical details like shot type and/or camera movements, pace of editing.
